The idea of operating remotely is tempting to many companies, especially those who work with freelancers. Being able to recruit staff overseas, expand quickly without renting an office, and positively impact the bottom line by cutting down on on-site costs is perfectly viable within our digital industry.

Still, dealing with clients’ demands and staff productivity might leave you with a few doubts about going 100% remote. That’s understandable, but there’s nothing to be afraid of. In this article, I’ll present to you 6 benefits of having a 100% remote PPC agency.

simple

1. It costs less money

Many freelancers prefer working remotely. They are used to making their own schedule and working at home or in any environment they prefer, instead of having to commute and go to an office every day. Remote work allows them to do that and other things, like living out of the city to avoid its high living costs.

Your agency can benefit from that logic too. The investment of creating a nice working space at home cannot compare to the one of finding an office and paying for utilities. Being totally remote will appeal to freelancers, so hiring them could be easier too. Besides, if you need a room for a meeting, you can book one for the day.

2. Productivity goes up

It’s been said that remote workers are more productive than their on-site counterparts, and I agree. One reason is that remote workers don’t get bogged down by distractions from the office and are able to fix a quieter space to work. Also, some people work better during the day, while others go for the night. So, when you do your own schedule, you fit your work whenever it makes you happy.

3. You can work from anywhere

Remote workers don’t need to be physically close to you, so you can look for hires in other countries. By doing this, you broaden your scope to hire skilled freelancers for less money than competitors who need workers that live near their offices.

4. Access to more talent

Once you’re open to international freelancers, you’ll be scouting at an immense pool of talents. The workers you’ll find abroad are as skilled as, or even more skilled than the one you’ll find at home. In my experience with foreign workers, I’ve found professionals of all levels of expertise, covering all aspects of the business. So if you have the chance, don’t hesitate to access talent that you would not find otherwise.

5. Workforce gets more diverse

What types of worker are you more likely to find close to you? Not as diverse as when you scout in many different countries, right? Diversity is not only a box you check to conform to the current social standards. It is vital for any business, and I’m not talking only about colour of skin or gender: it’s also about the backgrounds and worldviews that are crucial to forge skill sets. The more diverse your team is, the more creative solutions you’ll find to your business challenge.

6. Retention is not an issue

Employees can’t leave an office job as easily as a remote job. On the other hand, when you work with remote freelancers, you can build a network of workers that would be much bigger than any staff you have. So, retention won’t be an issue anymore. Make sure you have a a freelance network that is large enough so you’ll always be covered for your jobs, so losing one collaborator or another won’t make much difference.
